Become an Institutional Safety Officer with Shared Health in Selkirk, Manitoba. This position requires expertise in security and patient care at mental health facilities, with mobile capabilities included.

In this float position, you will be assigned to various Mental Health and Addictions sites within Shared Health. Your responsibilities will include responding to high-frequency violent behaviors while enforcing hospital bylaws and statutes. The role requires collaboration with healthcare staff and law enforcement to ensure the highest safety standards for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce hospital safety regulations and bylaws
• Engage in high-risk situation responses daily
• Educate staff on legislative compliance




• Facilitate transportation for mental health patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient welfare

Requirements:
• At least 1 year in security, law enforcement, or military
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Completion of the ISO Training Program
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
• A current satisfactory Criminal Record Check
