As a key member of the AgeCare team, the Recreation Therapy Aide supports recreational initiatives that enhance residents’ well-being. You will document and assess resident activities, maintain program quality, and ensure all recreational resources meet safety standards. Your adaptable schedule will include various shifts, allowing you to adapt to the needs of the service

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement planned and spontaneous recreational opportunities
• Maintain accurate Resident Assessments and Care Plans
• Contribute to quality improvement in recreation programs




• Ensure equipment is functional and report deficiencies
• Flexibly adjust to changing priorities in care

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Recreation or related field
• Enrollment in a post-secondary program with expectations for completion
• Experience in delivering recreation services in healthcare
• Ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Strong interest in supporting residents’ meaningful engagement
