As a crucial member of the Atlantic Packaging team, the Health and Safety Specialist will oversee the integration of safety protocols and preventative measures across the organization. With a focus on H&S; programs such as Machine Guarding and Lockout/Tagout, you will champion safety processes on-site. You will also manage the OH&S; system, conduct audits, and lead incident investigations to ensure compliance and foster continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct hazard assessments and recommend corrective actions
• Deliver safety training to employees and supervisors




• Manage in office personal protective equipment (PPE) systems
• Lead incident investigations and liaise with external agencies
• Create statistical reports and analyses for management

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of H&S; experience in unionized settings
• Completed health and safety degree or designation
• In-depth knowledge of Ontario legislation
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license and transportation
