Wild Rose School Division requires a TEMPORARY FULL TIME GRADE 3 TEACHER

For Aurora Elementary School in Drayton Valley, Alberta

Aurora Elementary is seeking a Temporary Full Time Grade 3 Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, managing a positive classroom environment, and working closely with colleagues to support student success. Knowledge/Expertise with cross-curricular learning, trauma-informed practices, and social emotional learning would be assets.

The position will commence August 24, 2026.

Aurora Elementary is a PreK-4 school situated in Drayton Valley, approximately 100 km southwest of Edmonton. Our school serves a community of around 370 students. We are equipped with a sensory room designed for student wellness, as well as flexible learning spaces. Our educational approach emphasizes positive behaviors through the Aurora Way. We offer a variety of special programs, including annual concerts, choirs, a drum club, a recorder club, cultural performances, daily physical education, intramurals, and targeted instructional groups. Additionally,



students benefit from access to free healthy lunches and snacks, with an option for a paid hot lunch program.

A complete package will include a cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three references and a copy of their Alberta teaching certification in a single google or pdf document. The successful applicant will be required to provide original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record and Intervention Record checks as a condition of employment.
