American Iron & Metal is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec. Work Monday to Friday in this full-time position dedicated to restoring heavy machinery.

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic reporting to the Mechanical Manager, you will be crucial in maintaining and repairing various heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will tackle preventive maintenance, minor and major repairs, and will confidently diagnose mechanical failures. You'll contribute to a cleaner, safer work environment by following strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preventive and scheduled maintenance on equipment
• Identify and diagnose mechanical issues
• Perform repairs on braking systems, engines, and hydraulics
• Document work performed and complete inspection reports
• Notify supervisor about unplanned repairs needed

Requirements:
• DVS in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent
• At least 3 years of mechanical experience
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Own personal toolbox for repairs
• Solid attention to detail and reliability
