Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE The OSP Clinician is responsible for acombination of clinical functions, including administering assessments(intake/triage), providing psychotherapy, and providing interim support toclients. The specific functions will be determined based on the operationalneeds of the program.

The Clinician will provide services in alignmentwith the clinical guidelines of the OntarioStructured Psychotherapy (OSP) Program , supporting clients experiencingdepression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions. Services may be delivered byvarious methods, including but not limited to, telephone, virtually, or inperson, in both individual and group settings.

Assessments are structured to support decisionsregarding participation and psychotherapy treatment within the OSP stepped-careprogram. Treatment is based on a CognitiveBehavioural Therapy (CBT) framework and follows specific evidence-basedprotocols, typically delivered over a series of sessions spanning approximatelytwo to four months for each client.

As part of the OSP Program's measurement-basedcare approach, the Clinician will administer structured questionnaires toassess clients' quality of life, functioning, and symptoms of anxiety anddepression. The Clinician will also maintain accurate client records, monitorclient progress, and communicate client concerns or safety issues to theappropriate primary healthcare provider and the CMHA Clinical ConsultationTeam.

The Clinical Consultation Team (ClinicalPsychologists) provides clinical oversight to the OSP program and evaluatesclinicians’ fidelity to treatment protocols. To support treatment fidelity andclinical effectiveness, the Clinician is required to adhere to the clinicaldirectives provided by the Clinical Consultation Team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Conducts assessments, in accordance to OSPguidelines, for stepped-care triage and to inform individualized treatmentplans.

Provides treatment following specified CognitiveBehavioural Therapy (CBT), evidence based protocols.





Participates in regular Clinical Consultationmeetings with a Clinical Consultant including standardized evaluation of randomand selected session recording(s)

It is anticipated that the incumbent willprovide services to a minimum of 5-7 clients per day, depending on the frequencyof client contact required of the administered protocol.

Collaborates with team members in provision ofcare.

Contributes to program development and programevaluation activities/undertakings.

Supports departmental training, as needed.

Maintains an efficient and accurate computerizedclient records and statistical information.

Ensures that any sensitive and confidentialinformation is maintained in a safe and secure manner.

Attends and participates in team meetings, asrequired

Health andSafety Followall health and safety policies and procedures.

Reportincidents, hazards, and concerns and assist with investigations as required.

Workcooperatively to promote a safe and healthy workplace.

Complywith organizational policies, program guidelines, and the Client SafetyFramework.

Completerequired health and safety training and recommend safety improvements whenidentified.

Professionalism Regularlyupdates skilled knowledge through educational events, workshops, andprofession related reading and training.

Represents HF Care in a positive andprofessional way with internal and external stakeholders

Education and Experiences Registeredin the province of Ontario as a registrant in good standing with theappropriate College and eligible to provide the controlled act of psychotherapyas either a Registered Social Worker, Registered Occupational Therapist,Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Nurse.

Autonomouslyregistered in one of the above colleges with no required clinical supervision.

Master’sdegree in health or mental health area required

Minimum3 years of experience in the delivery of individual CBT is required.

Documentedevidence of CBT training with adequate supervision is required.

Experiencewith scheduling and electronic medical record keeping using a clinicalmanagement system is required.

Knowledge and Skills: Demonstratedclinical proficiency in the etiology, classification,



and treatmentofdepressive and anxiety disorders as well as CBT and its application in mood andanxiety disorders.

Demonstratedclinical proficiency in the science and practices of psychotherapy including afull range of psychotherapeutic and assessment techniques.

Results-orientedwork ethic and ability to work independently and undertake tasks needed toaccomplish work objectives and to deliver quality, consistent and timelyresults

Strongassessment skills to deliver and interpret symptom and outcome measures

Demonstratedanalytical, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills

Provenwritten and verbal communication skills

Provenability to adapt readily to change

Modelsand promotes core ethical practice, organization’s values, and reflects anoptimistic and positive attitude

Proficiencyin Cantonese, French/English language skills is considered an asset

Familiaritywith a Microsoft Office365 applications (Teams, Outlook, etc)

Experienceusing record keeping software and ERMS (Electronic Record Managing System)

Additional Requirements and Working Conditions Avalid Canadian driver’s license, a minimum $1,000,000 third party liabilityinsurance and proof of insurance coverage of personal vehicle

Office-basedwork with day, evening, and weekend hours required based on client schedulingneeds.

Travelmay be required to off-site locations for events and community stakeholderengagements.
