Join our Public Works Division, Utilities Operations Department as a Utilities Maintenance Worker. This role involves hands-on participation in waterworks related tasks including maintenance, installation of watermains, and repair operations. You'll also manage pump and mobile generator stations while exercising sound judgment in all assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in waterworks maintenance, repairs, and operations
• Install watermains and relevant fittings
• Build valve chambers, manholes, and catch basins
• Conduct routine maintenance on hydrants and valves
• Guide operators to ensure protected equipment use
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Knowledge of waterworks construction and maintenance
• BC Class 5 Driver’s License required
• Considerable understanding of safety standards
• EOCP Water Distribution – Level 1 certification
