As a Tax Analyst reporting to the Manager of Tax, you will assist in the preparation of sales and business taxes, ensuring compliance with filing requirements. This position requires a post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance along with 1-3 years of relevant experience in tax reconciliation or financial analysis. Strong research skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and remit Canadian and U.S. sales tax returns
• Conduct reconciliation of tax accounts and assist with audits
• Research internal sales tax inquiries and draft correspondence
• Maintain business license registrations and remit applicable fees
• Collaborate with Financial Reporting for month-end tasks
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years' experience in tax compliance or analysis
• CPA designation is preferred
• Solid knowledge of Canadian and U.S. corporate tax
• Familiarity with SAP and research methodologies
