As part of the Work-Integrated Learning and Career Services department, you will report to the Manager and be responsible for developing valuable connections within the transportation sector. The role emphasizes engaging with industry stakeholders to create work placements and support students as they prepare for their careers. Your efforts will enhance the transition of students into the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with industry partners for student placements
• Facilitate effective work experiences for students in transportation
• Develop and implement student orientation and preparation resources
• Oversee the tracking of student progress and placement success
• Coordinate employer-student networking initiatives
Requirements:
• Relevant trade certificate in Automotive, Heavy-Duty, or similar
• Experience building relationships with industry personnel
• Solid organizational and time management abilities
• Background in mentoring or workforce development
• Familiarity with current transportation industry trends
