Join the Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing as a full-time Adult Protection Service Worker. This pivotal role involves advocacy and case management for adults with developmental disabilities.
As part of the Community Integration and Advocacy team, you will utilize your advocacy skills to empower individuals with developmental challenges. This position requires full time commitment with one evening shift weekly. You will be responsible for case management, coordinating support services, and addressing the unique needs of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate advocacy and community support for adults
• Manage cases for individuals with developmental disabilities
• Document interactions and maintain organized records
• Collaborate effectively with external partners
• Adhere to relevant legislative guidelines in all actions
Requirements:
• BA/BSW in Social Sciences or equivalent diploma
• Proven experience in developmental disability support
• Bilingual capabilities in French and English preferred
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Comprehensive understanding of anti-oppression principles
