ACCOUNTANT CLERK
Temporary Full Time (2 yr. Contract)

The RK is home to 136 residents and has over 300 caring staff.

About the Position:

Reporting to the Junior Accountant and the Director of Finance, the Accounting Clerk supports the Finance Department's operations. In alignment with our Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Resident-Centred Care philosophy, the Accounting Clerk acts as a positive role model and partner in providing care and support to residents while representing the Home in a positive, professional, efficient, and confidential manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accounts Payable Functions & responsibilities
- Payroll function & responsibilities
- Pension/Perks - Supports Junior Accountant and Director of Finance
- Deposits
- Accounts Receivable
- Membership on RK Committees as designated, if time permits.

Required, Education and Experience:

- Required - Completion of a recognized college or university program in accounting or finance, AND/OR 2+ years of related experience in an accounting and finance work workplace.
- Required - Demonstrated experience working with ERP Software, payroll and scheduling software.
- Required - Demonstrated experience in MS365 (Microsoft).

- Works efficiently with minimal supervision and sound judgment using well developed critical thinking skills.
- Maintains confidentiality, integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Job Type: 2-year, contracted position (with the possibility of extension)
Hours of Work: Non-union - Temp Full Time Monday - Friday hrs may flex as necessary. Paid 80 hrs bi weekly, paid breaks and lunch.
Benefits Pension NSHEPP can be differed 3 mos. Benefits Health, Dental, Life, Ltd
Salary: $55,432 per annum on contract ($26.65/hr.)
