ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

NL Health Services – Labrador-Grenfell Zone is seeking two (2)



permanent full-time Family Medicine Physicians to join the team at Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL. This is an excellent opportunity to practice full-scope family medicine in a collaborative environment while contributing to high-quality patient care in the region. These opportunities are available immediately.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay is a welcoming northern community offering a safe environment, outstanding outdoor recreation, and a strong sense of community spirit. The successful candidates will enjoy a broad scope of practice and work closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay is the largest community in Labrador, offering a unique blend of cultural richness and natural beauty. The area is known for world-class fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and access to some of the most spectacular wilderness landscapes in Canada. The community offers excellent schools, amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere for physicians and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
- Eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
- Must satisfy credentialing requirements of the Labrador-Grenfell Zone
- Relevant clinical experience considered an asset




- Satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
- Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide full scope of practice including obstetrics, emergency medicine, and family medicine
- Provide on-call coverage including weekends and holidays
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and nurses to deliver required services
- Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements

REMUNERATION

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Available Incentives:

- Physician Signing Bonus — CAD 150,000 + CAD 25,000 top-up
- Physician Recruitment Incentive Pilot — CAD 300,000 (CAD 150,000 per year)
- Come Home Incentive — CAD 100,000 (if eligibility criteria are met)
