We are looking for a Derivatives Analyst to join a financial services operations team supporting day-to-day derivatives confirmation activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior finance skilled looking to build hands‑on experience within derivatives and capital markets operations. Extensive industry experience is not required — the team is open to candidates with strong foundational knowledge, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support daily derivatives confirmation and back‑office operations

Draft and review ISDA confirmations

Generate confirmations using established templates and internal booking systems

Review transaction information and ensure confirmations are accurate and complete

Work within largely automated confirmation workflows

Collaborate with senior team members who will review confirmations before dispatch

Learn internal processes and systems through structured onboarding and training

Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and workflows

This position does not involve derivatives negotiations; those activities are handled by senior team members.

What We’re Looking For

Basic understanding of derivatives and financial markets

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to learn new processes quickly

Some understanding of back‑office operations, trade lifecycle,

or financial services processes

Interest in developing a career within capital markets or derivatives operations

Ability to work effectively in a structured, process‑driven environment

Nice to Have

VBA

Python

Interest in using AI and automation to improve operational processes

Exposure to derivatives through education, internships, co‑op placements, or previous employment

CFA Level I completed or in progress

Systems & Training
Approximately one week of initial training will be provided. Previous experience with the team's systems is not required .

Systems may include:

Sophis

Actiflow

Nemo

Who Should Apply?
We encourage applications from:

Recent Finance, Economics, Business, or related graduates

Candidates with exposure to capital markets, derivatives, trade operations, settlements, or back‑office operations

CFA candidates with foundational derivatives knowledge

Candidates interested in combining finance with technology, automation, and AI

What Will Make You Stand Out
The strongest candidates will bring more than the ability to complete daily operational tasks. We are looking for someone who is curious, takes initiative, and looks for opportunities to make processes better.

If you enjoy asking “How can we make this faster, easier, or more efficient?” and have an interest in applying automation, Python, VBA, or AI within financial operations, this could be a great opportunity to build your career.
