Make a difference at Vanier Children’s Mental Wellness as a Relief Child and Youth Counsellor in Southwestern Ontario. Provide essential care and supervision during diverse shifts across residential programs and treatment classrooms.

This casual on-call role requires availability for at least 12 shifts each month, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will take charge of supervision and support for children, while following the responsibilities of the primary staff being replaced. With the “Respite Certificate,” relief staff can also accept day respite and ‘Community Bridges’ contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise children in residential programs
• Provide care in treatment classrooms




• Fulfill duties of absent primary workers
• Adapt your schedule for weekend and evening shifts
• Ensure compliance with all care protocols

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in child and youth work
• Current Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR ‘C’
• Experience in child care preferred
• Valid Driver’s license in valuable standing
• Background checks and medical clearance needed
