As a full-time, temporary worker, you will engage with individuals needing serious support in managing both developmental disabilities and mental health issues. You'll provide advocacy, crisis intervention, and life skills coaching while fostering client independence and resilience. This position also involves collaboration with families and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure client understanding of program services and rights
• Use evidence-based tools for treatment planning
• Deliver educational programs to clients in group settings
• Implement client-defined care plans focusing on empowerment
• Assist clients in finding safe housing and financial support
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Robust knowledge of mental health legislation and policies
• Registration with a professional college is an asset
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required
