Join Rosedale Traditional Community School as a Resource Teacher, focusing on specialized education for students with exceptional needs. This role is full time and continuous, beginning September 1, 2026.
In this role, you will apply your academic training and experience to support students with intellectual disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities. You will also be responsible for developing curriculum modifications and ensuring alignment with the Ministry of Education's policies. Your collaboration as a case manager with teachers and parents will help facilitate student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement personalized learning plans and curricula
• Coordinate and evaluate Individual Education Plans in a team setting
• Foster collaboration among staff, students, and families
• Oversee extracurricular programs for skill development
• Manage classroom behavior and provide tailored support
Requirements:
• Advanced education in special education techniques and assessments
• Experience with diverse learning needs in an educational setting
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
• Knowledge of inclusive practices and universal design principles
• Willingness to adapt materials and teaching strategies
