THE ROLE As a Sports Store Technician you will assist in the smooth operation of the Sports Store, and will prepare reports, maintain distribution account records, obtain quotes for purchasing sports and fitness equipment and supplies, schedule equipment use, inspect, test, service and repair equipment, and maintain an inventory of equipment.





Additional duties of the Sports Store Technician include coordinating with an outside agency for facility maintenance, acting as the Facility Occupational Health and Safety Representative, operating facility vehicles, and assisting with special events.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Recreation Facility Management or a related field and some years of experience in a related field OR High school diploma AND several years of experience in a related field AND Valid Driver’s License (Alberta) Valid DND 404 Military Licence, as required (eligible to obtain after hire) Experience In issuing sports equipment In the preparation and maintenance of outdoor sports facilities In equipment maintenance/scheduling In loss prevention In inventory control In record keeping/invoicing In event planning Knowledge Of sports facilities Of maintenance requirements for facilities Of sports equipment repair Of shipping and receiving Of health and safety practices Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
