Adecco is currently hiring an Application Support Analyst - Critical Systems on behalf of our client. This is an exciting opportunity for a technology professional who enjoys working with mission-critical applications, troubleshooting complex systems, and supporting highly available operational environments. In this role, you will support and maintain critical transportation and dispatch systems while collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for application support, incident management, release coordination, troubleshooting, documentation, and system enhancements within a 24/7 operational environment.

Location: 5% travel required within North America

Shift: Monday to Friday | Participation in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule

Responsibilities:
Application & Systems Support

Support, maintain, and optimize critical operational applications and systems.

Provide technical support to ensure system performance, reliability, and availability.

Configure, test, and implement software releases, upgrades, and enhancements.

Maintain application servers, workstations, databases, and supporting infrastructure.





Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Incident & Problem Management

Act as the primary escalation point for application and system-related issues.

Lead incident resolution efforts to restore service within established SLAs.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex technical problems.

Communicate incident status and recovery efforts to key stakeholders.

Release & Change Management

Coordinate system changes and deployments with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Develop release plans, deployment strategies, rollback procedures, and implementation schedules.

Ensure successful delivery of software releases into production environments.

Support continuous improvement of release management and deployment processes.

System Enhancement & Automation

Identify opportunities to automate manual support activities and improve efficiency.

Support modernization initiatives and new system implementations.

Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on system reliability and operational excellence.

Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of new technologies and application enhancements.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support materials.

Develop training guides, job aids, and process documentation.

Maintain a centralized knowledge repository to support operational teams.

Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions to team members when required.





Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related discipline

Experience supporting enterprise applications within a technology or operations environment

Experience working in a 24/7 support environment is considered an asset

Recent graduates with relevant technical education and strong foundational knowledge are encouraged to apply

Experience with production support, application support, or operational support environments is preferred

Strong understanding of application support and incident management processes

Experience with release management and software deployment practices

Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) methodologies

Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications and production systems

Knowledge of APIs and system integrations

Proficiency with scripting and automation tools

Experience with one or more of the following is considered an asset: ServiceNow, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, PowerShell scripting, Linux operating systems, CockroachDB, Microsoft Structures Query Language (SQL), Anthos, and Kafka

Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
