Senior Accountant

Job Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Pay Rate: $45/hour (DOE)

Location: North Vancouver, BC (First month onsite full time, then 2 days per week onsite)

Our client is a leading provider of environmental, laboratory, and scientific solutions supporting organizations across a broad range of industries.

Your New Role

As the Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of the organization's intercompany accounting processes, a function that has expanded significantly as the business continues to grow globally.

What You Will Do

- Manage and process intercompany transactions across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Coordinate monthly intercompany re-billings and supply transfer accounting activities.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Support monthly financial reporting and period-end close activities.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of intercompany balances and eliminations.
- Partner with operations, shipping, procurement, and other internal teams to resolve discrepancies and accounting issues.
- Prioritize and manage high transaction volumes while maintaining robust attention to detail.




- Contribute to process improvements and support ongoing finance initiatives.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
- Strong experience with reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, monthly reporting, and high-volume transactional environments.
- Solid understanding of IFRS.
- Ability to see the broader business picture while managing detailed accounting activities.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion is considered a strong asset.
- Exposure to macros and an understanding of automated transaction flows is considered an asset.
