Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a detail-oriented association in Edmonton, Alberta on a long-term contract basis. This in-office role is well suited to someone who enjoys high-volume transactional work, takes pride in accuracy, and works well within a cooperative accounting team.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Enter and maintain accounts payable records in QuickBooks Desktop.
- Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain organized supporting documentation and accounting records.
- Assist with cheque runs and payment processing in accordance with approval procedures.
- Work closely with the accounting team to resolve invoice issues, clarify coding, and ensure timely processing.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting support role.




- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to process invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Working knowledge of three-way matching, invoice coding, reconciliations, and cheque runs.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be considered an asset.
- Dependable and adaptable, with the ability to follow direction and work effectively within a team.
