JOB SUMMARY:
We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As our Maintenance Technician, you'll assist our Maintenance Manager in ensuring that our systems are running efficiently at all times. If you have experience in millwright, electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, and troubleshooting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the Maintenance Manager with all production tasks, ensuring efficient and timely support as needed.
· Perform general mechanical and electrical duties, including troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems as well as PLCs where applicable.
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machine control systems, including conveyor systems, compressors, extruders, and other equipment.
· Conduct preventative maintenance on all production equipment to ensure the optimal function and minimal downtime.
· Rapidly respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose issues, and implement repairs.
· Collaborate with other team members to improve equipment reliability and enhance overall production efficiency.
· Ensure a clean and secure working environment through adherence to proper safety procedures and good housekeeping practices.
· Report potential equipment and building issues to management as they arise.
· Participate in setup and changeovers for production lines.
· Assist in the training of new personnel on safety, quality, and productivity procedures.
· Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, including repairs and equipment modifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Red Seal Millwright Certification or equivalent experience in a related field.
· Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, particularly in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
· Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
· Proficiency in working with machine drives and control systems.
· Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
· Robust problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Ability to work safely and independently, making decisions regarding maintenance and production issues.
· Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks like climbing, squatting, and bending as required.
