Hensall Co-op is seeking a reliable individual to become an integral member of our team! This position is full time, working out of the Aylmer location.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist the Lead Hand in required daily operation functions of the facility where needed (grain elevator, grading etc.)
- Assist in crop input procedures such as fertilizer blending, and fertilizer and seed delivery from the location to farms and custom application equipment
- Maintain and repair equipment according to maintenance schedule, policies, and procedures
- Communicate with Manager to ensure all customer needs are met and required products are available
- Assist with inventory control by verifying shipments, completing documentation, and producing inventory counts when needed
- General yard maintenance to ensure all areas of the location are always kept clean and safe both inside and out, operating/adjusting/cleaning equipment as needed
- Respond to incoming/outgoing loads daily and verify and maintain records of grain movements into and out of the facility
- Loading and unloading products with forklift and other equipment
- Ensure that all product meets quality standards and complete all required paperwork
- Operate all equipment associated with the elevator process, including drags, conveyors, scales, and pit




- Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily
- Accurately mix and apply chemicals on various crops
- Safe operation of fertilizer, sprayer, and application equipment to blend, load, and apply material to fields

Job Requirements:

- Attention to detail with strong time management
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of agricultural and custom application practices
- Record keeping and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of and experience driving RoGator, TerraGator, or other Custom Application equipment
- Ability to perform manual labour for hours at a time
- Ability to operate different equipment such as forklift and automated plant equipment is an asset
- Basic maintenance experience or skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs and climb up to 100ft

Required Qualifications:

- Must have a valid G driver’s license
- Valid DZ or AZ Ontario driver’s license
- Professional Applicator’s License or willingness to obtain
- Ontario pesticide Exterminator License or willingness to obtain
