Overview
We are seeking a skilled Band Saw Operator (Night Shift) to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating band saw equipment to accurately cut and prepare materials for production. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with various manufacturing tools and machinery. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality and precision.

Pay Rate:

$23.00/hour +$1.50 Shift Premium + paid advantages following successful 3-month probationary period.

Shift Schedule

Monday-Sunday: 7:00pm to 7:00am

Employee's Shifts will be on a 2-2-3 schedule. This schedule will consist of 12-hour shifts:

- Employees work two days, then have two days off, then work three days.
- The pattern then flips the next week: two days off, two days on, three days off.
- This creates a biweekly cycle that repeats.

Responsibilities

- Operate band saw machines to cut raw materials according to specified dimensions
- Set up and adjust saw blades, guides, and stops to ensure precise cuts
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment
- Demonstrate proper cutting techniques to maximize blade usage and minimize stress on the equipment.
- Track Production on required forms




- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety compliance and restock lumber at end of every shift
- Perform basic adjustment to machine to include changing saw blades, table adjustments and ensure all safety guards are in place.
- Support assembly processes by preparing materials for further manufacturing steps
- Follow all safety protocols related to machining and material handling
- Performs other duties as required.

Skills

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection
- Familiarity with quality inspection procedures to ensure product meet specifications
- Strong understanding of machining processes including assembly, and use of hand tools
- Frequent lifting, pulling, carrying and flipping of 60 pound pallets.
- Able to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
