Position Summary

The 1A Truck & Skid Steer Operator supports railway maintenance and construction activities throughout the MobilGrain rail network. Approximately 75% of the role is spent operating equipment and performing manual labour, with the balance focused on transporting equipment and materials using a Class 1A truck and flat deck trailer. The successful candidate will work alongside the Maintenance of Way team to complete track rehabilitation, crossing maintenance and infrastructure projects safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate a Class 1A truck to transport equipment, materials and supplies.

· Haul flat deck trailers carrying various pieces of railway maintenance equipment.

· Operate skid steer equipment and other assigned equipment.

· Perform manual labour in support of track rehabilitation, grading, crossing maintenance and tie replacement.

· Load, unload and secure equipment safely.

· Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspections and documentation.





· Work safely around heavy equipment and active rail operations.

· Assist with general railway maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

· Valid Class 1A Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.

· Minimum 4–5 years of Class 1A commercial driving experience.

· Minimum 1 year experience pulling a flatdeck trailer.

· Experience hauling flat deck trailers and transporting equipment.

· Experience operating skid steer equipment.

· Strong commitment to safe work practices.

· Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions.

· Mechanical aptitude and railway, agriculture, construction, or heavy equipment experience are considered assets.

Work Schedule

· Monday to Friday.

· Typical 10–12 hour shifts.

· Overtime opportunities available based on operational requirements.

· Weekend and evening work as required.

· Periodic overnight travel within Saskatchewan as operationally required.

· Company-provided bunkhouse accommodations for required overnight travel.
