Horizon Climate Controls is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic with a Gas Fitter certification to join our team in Williams Lake, BC.

We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently, takes pride in their work, and has strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. This is a full-time, year-round position with a locally owned company serving Williams Lake and the surrounding Cariboo-Chilcotin region.

The Position

This is a varied service and installation role working on residential and commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities include:

- Troubleshooting, servicing and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Furnace, air conditioning and heat pump service and repair
- Commercial refrigeration service and troubleshooting
- Gas appliance service, repair and installation
- Preventative maintenance and equipment servicing
- HVAC and refrigeration installations as required
- Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and gas-related issues
- Completing transparent and accurate job notes and documentation
- Communicating findings, repair options and recommendations with customers
- Participating in the after-hours on-call rotation
- Working independently as well as alongside our installation and service teams

What We're Looking For:

- Journeyperson Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic certification or equivalent experience (Required)
- Gas Fitter certification – Gas B minimum preferred- Gas A is an asset
- Strong HVAC/refrigeration diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license




- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Professional and respectful communication with customers and coworkers
- Strong workmanship and attention to detail

Experience with commercial refrigeration, heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioning, boilers and related mechanical systems is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Williams Lake, BC – in-shop and field work throughout the Cariboo-Chilcotin
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with participation in the rotating after-hours on-call schedule
Wage: 44-49 based on experience, certifications and qualifications

Pay: $44.00-$49.00 per hour
