About the Role
We are hiring a full-time intern to play a foundational role in creating NOHBA's Northern Ontario Residential Construction Supplier Development Program. This goes beyond connecting people, we are building the association's presence and impact across every corner of Northern Ontario's residential construction sector.

From communications and social media to member outreach, economic development, and event support, this role touches everything. You'll help ensure that builders, renovators, suppliers, municipalities, and industry partners across Northern Ontario know who NOHBA is, what we do, and how we can connect them with the right people and opportunities.

The Northern Ontario Home Builders' Association is growing and we're looking for passionate, driven individuals who want to make a real impact on housing and economic development across Northern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage NOHBA's social media channels, newsletter, and website updates
- Assist with membership recruitment, onboarding, and engagement
- Support planning and execution of major events including the Northern Ontario Housing Summit, Home Show, and Golf Tournament
- Monitor public tenders and private project opportunities and connect them with qualified NOHBA members
- Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, economic development offices, and industry partners across Northern Ontario
- Assist members with questions about available funding programs and connect them with appropriate resources
- Support policy research, advocacy materials, and government relations
- Collect and analyze regional housing and construction data to support investment attraction and strategic planning
- Contribute to NOHBA's five-year strategic plan

Who We're Looking For

· Recent graduate (within the last 3 years) in Communications, Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field

· Strong writing, research, and organizational skills

· Comfortable working independently in a small but growing organization

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Wix, Canva, and social media platforms (Meta Business Suite)

· Interest in housing, construction, or economic development in Northern Ontario

· Knowledge of Northern Ontario an asset

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:

- Be 30 years of age or under
- Have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution within the last 3 years
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be living or willing to live and work in Northern Ontario (Sudbury considered an asset)
- Not have previously participated in a federal or provincial internship program with pay for 6 months or more
