Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role includes leading a team, upholding quality standards, and achieving production goals. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with exceptional problem-solving skills and experience in a manufacturing or foundry setting.

Additionally, this role is accountable for overseeing and directing Union members.

Duties

- Ensures smooth workflow by overseeing process steps, setting operational parameters, monitoring equipment and control points, managing personnel and resources, analyzing methods, implementing cost-saving measures, and developing reporting systems. Addresses process issues and fosters collaboration across departments.
- Drives manufacturing team performance by planning, evaluating, and supporting job outcomes. Provides coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions while enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Achieves production targets by scheduling and assigning staff, prioritizing tasks, tracking progress, adjusting schedules as needed, resolving issues, and reporting production flow in shift summaries.
- Gathers and analyzes production data to generate reports, respond to inquiries, and provide valuable insights for decision-making.




- Promotes a safe and organized workplace by educating employees on best practices, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and maintaining clean and efficient work conditions.

Requirements

- 5+ years’ experience working as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment;
- 3+ years’ experience working in a Foundry or similar environment would be considered an asset;
- Leadership and supervisory style that is firm, fair and consistent;
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset;
- Solid computer skills (including excel, word, outlook);
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Self-starter who regularly demonstrates initiative and able to work independently;
- Robust organizational skills, ability to multi-task and detail-oriented individual.

Working Conditions

- Overtime as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 40lbs may be required.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
