Busters Towing is a busy 24-hour operation that has been proudly serving the City of Vancouver for over 70 years. We are trusted towing professionals with the largest fleet of light, medium, and heavy-duty tow trucks in Western Canada.

We currently have one opening. Below is the shift to join our team as a P/T dispatcher:

Thursday - Sunday: 3 pm- 11 pm(evening shift)

Overtime will be required to cover absences and vacations

Candidates must have excellent communication and time management skills, as the Dispatcher role is the primary point of contact for all Tow Truck Drivers, you will need to be an expert at multitasking and able to solve problems independently and quickly

Training for the dispatch position will take place at the office and will include extensive knowledge of the geography of Vancouver, candidates must know the basics at a minimum and be willing to study and learn all areas of Vancouver.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Communicating with drivers over a 2 way radio
- Providing drivers with accurate information such as location, type of vehicle, and instructions
- High-accuracy data entry
- Prioritizing emergency calls
- Keeping track of jobs, making sure they are distributed fairly
- Customer Service skills, answering inbound and making outbound calls
- Providing daily reports to Management
- Following safety procedures
- Dispatch personnel according to written schedules and work orders, or as required by emergency situations




- Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues
- Update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that occur
- Maintain vehicle operator work records using computerized or manual methods, and ensure timesheets and payroll summaries are completed accurately
- Other duties as requested

Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Strong multitasking skills
- Professional and adaptable
- Geographical knowledge of the City of Vancouver
- Able to solve problems in a timely manner and independently in accordance with Company policies/procedures
- Secondary School Diploma
- Clean Criminal Record
