Environmental Services Manager
We are seeking an experienced and innovative
Environmental Services Manager to join our leadership
team. This is a unique management opportunity with
responsibility for three key organizational
portfolios: Environmental Services, Queensway Place
Assisted Living, and Emergency Preparedness.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the
successful candidate will provide strategic and
operational leadership, ensuring high-quality services,
regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, employee
engagement and continuous improvement across their
portfolio.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in Environmental

Services, Health Services, Business, Hospitality,
Facilities Management or a related field.

- 3-5 years of progressive management or

leadership experience, preferably in healthcare,
long-term care, assisted living, or a similar
regulated environment.

- Experience with staffing, scheduling,

performance management, budgets, and
resource management within a unionized
environment.

- Knowledge of infection control, occupational

health and safety and regulatory requirements.
- Experience or demonstrated knowledge in





emergency preparedness, business continuity or
organizational readiness.

- Strong leadership, communication, problem-

solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take

accountability and drive results.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

Position Summary:

- Provide overall leadership and accountability for

Housekeeping/Laundry department, Queensway
Place Assisted Living and Emergency
Preparedness.

- Establish standards, policies, and procedures that

ensure quality standards, infection prevention,
and legislative requirements are met.

- Manage resources and budgets across multiple

departments.
- Provide leadership, performance management,

and scheduling for a high-performing unionized
team.

- Participate in various labour relations and

employee engagement activities.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming and resident/patient

centered environment.
- Manage the Queensway Place admission and

discharge process.
- Receive and manage all internal and external

Queensway Place inquiries.
- Develop and maintain emergency response and

business continuity plans.
- Coordinate organization-wide emergency

preparedness exercises and training.
- Identify risks and ensure the organization is

prepared to respond.

This position offers a competitive compensation
package including paid vacation and sick leave, health
and dental benefits, life insurance and pension plan.
Starting wage is $47.753/hour to $53.736/hour
depending on experience.
