Duties

- Safely operate commercial freight trucks across Canada–USA border routes, adhering to all transportation laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload freight with precision, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Manage documentation related to freight shipments, customs paperwork, and delivery logs accurately and efficiently
- Perform basic automotive repairs or coordinate maintenance to keep trucks in top condition during long hauls




- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading cargo
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and border officials to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid AZ license and a clean driving record
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and securing cargo for safe transport
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or other loading machinery is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cross-border shipping regulations and customs procedures for Canada–USA routes
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues during trips are a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight transportation
