Palacio Event Centre, Mississauga is looking for a Supervisor/Server/Bartender responsible for Food & Beverage Service to out guests and promoting our brand. This candidate must work well with others in a collaborative atmosphere and relate well with clients to foster a positive experience. The ideal candidate must be adaptable and maintain a professional and polished demeanor along with wide food and beverage knowledge. This candidate must also understand the importance of, and promote, the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values.

As a valuable member of our Events team, you will deliver food and beverage service to our guests at all times by living our Visions and Values.

· Set up banquet room as per the requirements for service.

· Prepare for service; polish cutlery/glassware, prepare mise en place etc.

· Assist with food preparation before and during the event

· Serve appetizers and plated dinners to guests, and buffet style service.

· Deliver food from the kitchen to the banquet hall in a timely manner.





· Assist with post event clean up, inventory, food storage and tear down.

· Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

· Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Smart Serve certification required
- You possess a high school diploma

- Are 18 years or older
- Able to handle high-stress situations
- Robust communication skills for discussing with colleagues and guests
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation for late nights
- Knowledge of catering best practices

Job Types: Casual, Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
