Welcome to Leslie Street Paint & Design Centre - Benjamin Moore
We are looking for a temporary employee for a six month contract with the possibility of extending the contract after this period. This is to cover the shifts of an employee on an extended leave which may continue after the six month period. The shifts are Monday to Wednesday and Saturday.
This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Benjamin Moore paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers in a busy, brisk setting. We are located at Hwy. 401/Leslie Street and closed evenings and Sundays.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
o Interacting with both commercial and retail customers, determining their needs and proposing appropriate products and services.
o Tinting paint using the Benjamin Moore Colour RX System and processing sales through a computerized point of sale system.
o Having an affinity for visual merchandising and performing daily housekeeping duties within the store.
o Receiving shipments from paint and sundry manufacturers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
o Must be at least 18 years old.
o Must have a good command of the English language.
o Must have a good eye for colour.
o Must be able to lift 5 gallon pails weighing 50 lbs.
o High school diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Previous retail and paint sales experience.
o Colour matching experience.
