Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable PET Extrusion Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Brampton. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating PET plastic extrusion equipment, strong attention to safety and quality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machine operator or extrusion technician looking to grow their skills in plastics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate, start up, run, and shut down PET extrusion equipment.
- Set up machinery and load raw materials according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain product quality.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of finished products.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify product specifications.
- Record production data, quality results, and machine information accurately.
- Identify and report quality issues, machine concerns, and production abnormalities.
- Assist with troubleshooting and minor machine adjustments as required.
- Unload, store, label, and organize finished products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow 5S, EHS, workplace safety, and quality procedures.
- Support supervisors and assist in training new team members when required.
- Participate in continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating PET plastic extrusion machines — required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers — required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.




- Plastics manufacturing or extrusion experience is strongly preferred.
- Mechanical or technical background is an asset.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation in English.
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately record production information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as required.
- Must be available to work 12-hour day or night shifts

Shifts: 12-hour shifts

- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
