Position Summary

The Track Foreman is a working leader responsible for the safe inspection, maintenance, and repair of railway track infrastructure. Approximately 80% of the role is spent performing hands-on track maintenance alongside the crew and 20% leading and coordinating daily work activities. The successful candidate will lead daily tailgate meetings, conduct weekly track patrols and inspections, plan maintenance activities, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and work alongside a railway track maintenance crew.

· Conduct weekly track patrols and inspections.

· Plan daily and future maintenance activities.

· Perform rail changes, tie replacement, and general track maintenance.

· Lead daily safety tailgate meetings.

· Provide direction, coaching, inspections, and maintenance oversight.

· Coordinate emergency and weather-related maintenance.

· Complete required documentation and communicate priorities.

Qualifications & Experience





· Minimum 10 years of railway track maintenance experience on a tie gang, section crew, or similar railway maintenance environment.

· Minimum 5 years of lead hand, foreman, or supervisory experience leading railway maintenance crews.

· Extensive hands-on track repair and maintenance experience.

· Strong knowledge of railway track standards and maintenance practices.

· Experience with track pullers, spike pullers, tie replacement equipment, and rail grinding equipment is considered an asset.

· Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.

Work Schedule

· Monday to Friday.

· 10–12 hour shifts.

· Overtime opportunities available based on operational requirements.

· Weekend and on-call work as required based on operational and weather conditions.

· Periodic overnight travel within Saskatchewan as operationally required.

· Company-provided bunkhouse accommodations are provided for required overnight travel.
