Job Description

We are hiring a Field Interviewer / Survey Enumerator for a short-term research project based primarily in Malartic, Quebec.

The role involves approaching members of the public in approved public locations and conducting short face-to-face surveys. The research collects local residents' feedback and opinions about their community, local area, and activities and operations in the region.

Project Duration: Approximately 3–4 weeks,
Pay: $20/hour + $150 flat gas/travel support
Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week, around 5 hours per day
Schedule: Versatile / Approximately 5 days per week

Most fieldwork will be conducted in Malartic. The selected interviewer will also be required to travel to Cadillac and Preissac, generally for approximately 1–2 fieldwork days in each area, depending on project needs and progress.

Responsibilities

- Approach and engage members of the public professionally
- Conduct short face-to-face surveys with local residents
- Accurately record respondents' answers
- Take photos of assigned fieldwork areas/locations during shifts as required
- Follow project instructions and respondent screening requirements
- Remain active and engaged during scheduled fieldwork hours
- Provide daily fieldwork progress reports and updates to the Project Manager
- Maintain regular communication with the project team throughout the assignment
- Travel between Malartic, Cadillac, and Preissac as required

Requirements

- French proficiency is required
- Comfortable approaching and speaking with members of the public
- Friendly, professional, reliable, and punctual
- Able to follow survey and fieldwork instructions accurately
- Must be available approximately 5 days per week




- Must have reliable transportation to travel between Malartic, Cadillac, and Preissac
- Previous interviewing, customer service, outreach, or research experience is an asset

Compensation

$20/hour for approximately 20–25 hours per week, plus $150 flat gas/travel support for required project travel between the assigned communities.

La majorité du travail terrain sera effectuée à Malartic. La personne sélectionnée devra également se déplacer à Cadillac et Preissac,



généralement pendant environ 1 à 2 jours de travail terrain dans chaque secteur, selon les besoins et l’avancement du projet.

Responsabilités

- Approcher et interagir de manière professionnelle avec les membres du public
- Réaliser de courts sondages en personne auprès des résidents locaux
- Enregistrer avec précision les réponses des participants
- Prendre des photos des zones et lieux de travail assignés pendant les quarts de travail, au besoin
- Respecter les instructions du projet et les critères de sélection des participants
- Rester actif(ve) et engagé(e) pendant les heures de travail prévues
- Fournir quotidiennement au gestionnaire de projet un rapport sur l’avancement du travail terrain
- Maintenir une communication régulière avec l’équipe de projet pendant toute la durée du mandat
- Se déplacer entre Malartic, Cadillac et Preissac, selon les besoins

Exigences

- Maîtrise du français requise
- Être à l’aise pour approcher et communiquer avec les membres du public
- Être professionnel(le), fiable, ponctuel(le) et avoir une attitude positive
- Être capable de suivre avec précision les instructions du sondage et du travail terrain
- Être disponible environ 5 jours par semaine
- Disposer d’un moyen de transport fiable pour se déplacer entre Malartic, Cadillac et Preissac
- Une expérience en sondage, service à la clientèle, sensibilisation communautaire ou recherche constitue un atout

Rémunération

20 $/heure pour environ 20 à 25 heures par semaine, plus une allocation forfaitaire de 150 $ pour l’essence et les déplacements requis entre les communautés assignées.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
