As we gear up for the busiest time of the year, we are seeking dedicated Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of our store, staff, and customers.

Job Summary:

The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a secure and secure environment within the Halloween store, we are looking for both our Halifax Shopping Centre location as well as Mic Mac Mall. This role involves monitoring premises, preventing theft, handling emergencies, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is vigilant, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced, festive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveillance & Monitoring:

· Patrol store premises regularly to deter and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized activities.

· Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to suspicious behavior.

Customer Service:

· Provide a welcoming and safe environment for customers.

· Assist customers with inquiries related to security concerns and store policies.

Loss Prevention:

· Implement and enforce store policies to prevent theft and shoplifting.





· Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.

Incident Reporting:

· Document all security incidents accurately and thoroughly.

· Collaborate with management and law enforcement as needed.

Collaboration:

· Work closely with store management and staff to ensure overall safety.

· Participate in regular security meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous experience in security, retail, or customer service preferred.

· Strong observational and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations effectively.

· First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

· Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

· Capability to respond quickly in emergencies.

· Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during the Halloween season.

· Professional appearance and demeanor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
