MULTI-UNIT GENERAL MANAGER — HOSPITALITY & OPERATIONS

Blue Mountain / Collingwood, Ontario | Full-Time, Permanent

We operate a growing collection of independent food and beverage concepts across Blue Mountain Village and Collingwood — cafés, restaurants and high-volume quick-service locations — and we are looking for one exceptional operator to lead them.

We need someone who genuinely understands what makes a hospitality business work: great people, strong managers, high standards, urgency, consistency and an excellent guest experience.

You should be the kind of leader who can walk into a busy location and quickly recognize what needs attention — whether that is staffing, service, cleanliness, food execution, labour, training, organization or leadership — and know how to get it back on track.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

You will oversee multiple locations and, more importantly, the managers who run them.

Your responsibility is to make sure each location is properly staffed, properly led and operating to company standards every day.

You will:

- Lead, coach and hold location managers accountable
- Recruit robust managers and help build reliable teams beneath them
- Spend significant time inside the businesses, not managing them from behind a computer
- Maintain high standards for hospitality, food quality, cleanliness and presentation
- Ensure managers are training, scheduling and managing their teams effectively
- Monitor labour, food cost, inventory and operational performance
- Identify problems early and take ownership of solving them
- Help locations prepare for extremely busy weekends, holidays and seasonal periods
- Create consistency without removing the individual personality of each concept
- Work directly with ownership on improvements, opportunities and growth

WHO WE’RE ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR

We are less interested in an impressive corporate title and more interested in how you lead people.

You may currently be a strong General Manager, Area Manager, District Manager, Director of Operations or Multi-Unit Manager.





What matters is that you have successfully run busy food & beverage operations and know how to lead through people.

You are someone who:

- Has excellent people skills and earns respect without needing to intimidate
- Is comfortable giving direction and holding people accountable
- Doesn’t lower standards because a location is busy or short staffed
- Understands both hospitality and operations
- Notices details other people miss
- Moves quickly and follows through
- Can make decisions without waiting for ownership to solve every problem
- Understands labour, food cost, scheduling and inventory
- Is comfortable jumping into an operation when necessary
- Knows the difference between being “busy” and actually getting results
- Can build a strong culture while still maintaining explicit expectations

We want someone who wants to know the teams, understand the locations, see the guest experience firsthand and develop managers who can eventually run exceptional businesses without constant supervision.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an important leadership position within a growing independent hospitality company.

We are looking for the person who can take ownership of the day-to-day operations, strengthen our management team and raise the standard across every location.

REQUIREMENTS

- Proven restaurant, café or hospitality management experience
- Experience overseeing multiple locations or significant experience running a high-volume operation with multiple managers
- Strong leadership and people-management ability
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, seasonal environments
- Strong understanding of labour, scheduling, inventory and food cost
- Must be able to work on-site in the Blue Mountain / Collingwood area
- Weekend and holiday availability is essential

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
