We are excited to expand our growing operation in Ontario and are looking for experienced Company Drivers to join our team.

The Prospect

We are seeking experienced Company Drivers for our Ontario operation, running primarily Intermodal Container freight on Ontario → U.S. Northeast lanes, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for consistent miles, competitive pay, strong dispatch support, and long-term work with a growing transportation company.

Compensation

$0.75 per mile

Layover Pay: $75 when an overnight layover is required after the driver's available hours are completed and the driver must stay overnight before continuing the trip.

Lane & Work Overview

- Ontario-based operation
- Cross-border Ontario → U.S. Northeast
- Regular lanes covering Pennsylvania, Ohio & New York
- Primarily Intermodal Container freight




- Loads coordinated through major Ontario intermodal facilities

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on assigned cross-border routes
- Transport intermodal containers efficiently and securely
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate trip, ELD, and regulatory documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Follow all applicable Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations
- Comply with Hours of Service and safety requirements
- Report mechanical or equipment concerns promptly
- Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism
- Represent HAP Transportation Group professionally at all times

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver's licence with appropriate qualifications
- Proven tractor-trailer driving experience
- Previous cross-border U.S. driving experience preferred
- Intermodal/container experience is an asset
- Ability to legally operate cross-border into the United States
- Strong knowledge of transportation safety and compliance requirements
- Clean and safe driving record
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to operate efficiently on cross-border routes
- CN Rail experience will be considered an asset.
- Valid U.S. visa required for cross-border operations.
