The Role

A well-established organization in Vaudreuil-Dorion is seeking an experienced Yard Mechanic to join its maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping yard equipment and vehicles in safe, reliable working condition through preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.

This position offers a consistent Monday-to-Friday day shift and a competitive rate of $38.00/hour.

What You'll Do

- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on yard equipment and vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Complete oil changes, lubrication, brake repairs, and routine servicing.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure equipment meets company safety and operating standards.
- Communicate equipment issues and repair requirements to the appropriate team.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organized work area.
- Perform other mechanical duties as required.





What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a mechanic in a transportation, fleet, heavy-equipment, or industrial environment.
- Experience working with trucks, trailers, yard equipment, forklifts, or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance priorities.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's licence.
- French required; English considered an asset.
- Mechanical trade certification or relevant technical training is an asset.
