Position: Out-of-School Care Educator
Organization: Claresholm Child Care Society - Kidz Zone OSC
Location: Claresholm, AB

About the Role

We are hiring an enthusiastic, caring, and energetic individual to join our team! As a Out-of-School Care Educator, you will help create a safe, engaging, and fun setting for school-aged children in accordance with Alberta’s Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) licensing standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, and interest based projects
- Engage and supervise children ages 5–12 in daily programming
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized environment following Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulation
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members




- Communicate daily with families about their child's day
- Complete daily documentation as required (attendance, incident reports, etc.)

Qualifications (Alberta Requirements)

- Alberta Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification – Level 1, 2, or 3. Minimum Level 1 completed.
- Current First Aid/CPR – Child Care Level B or C
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Experience working with children (paid, volunteer, or practicum)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Ability to work outdoors and participate in active programming

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
