Applidex is a trusted Canadian contractor with nearly five decades of experience in polymer coating installation, concrete refurbishment, and polished concrete flooring for commercial and industrial environments.

We are seeking experienced Lead Installers to independently manage installation projects and lead crews throughout the Ottawa area. The successful candidates will have relevant industrial flooring experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and professional workmanship.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and supervise installation crews on commercial and industrial job sites.
- Plan and manage daily installation activities to meet project requirements and Applidex quality standards.
- Install polished concrete, epoxy flooring, waterproofing, high-performance urethanes, and other specialized coating systems.
- Oversee concrete preparation, grinding, mixing, application, finishing, and cleanup.
- Assign tasks and provide clear direction and hands-on training to crew members.
- Monitor workmanship and inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Identify and address installation challenges as they arise.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used properly and maintained in good condition.
- Enforce company policies and industry-standard safety procedures.
- Communicate project progress, site conditions, and material requirements to management.
- Operate company vehicles and travel to job sites when required.

What You Need

- Demonstrated experience installing industrial flooring systems.
- Strong knowledge of epoxy, polished concrete, high-performance urethane, waterproofing, and specialized coating systems.




- The ability to independently lead crews and manage installation work from preparation through completion.
- The ability to demonstrate or provide examples of previous industry work.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to perform physically demanding work in active construction environments.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.

Working Conditions

- The standard workday begins at 7:00 a.m. on-site.
- Work takes place at commercial and industrial job sites throughout Ottawa and the surrounding area.
- Some projects may require evening, weekend, or out-of-town work.
- The role involves standing, bending, lifting, and operating industrial flooring equipment.
