Position Summary
Cambrian College’s Ancillary Business Operations has a requirement for a full-time Ancillary Business Clerk beginning September 2026.
Note: Internal candidates, as defined by the Full time Support Staff Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities
Print Shop Operations
- Operate and maintain print production equipment including computers, photocopiers, printers, large-format printers and cutters, laminators, scanners, binding equipment, and paper cutters.
- Produce manuals, reports, posters, pamphlets, signage, and other printed materials for the College community and external clients.
- Receive, review, and process print shop requisitions, ensuring requests are completed accurately and within established timelines.
- Calculate job costs and prepare documentation for customer billing and internal chargebacks.
- Maintain print shop inventory and order supplies as required.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
- Coordinate equipment service and repair requests with external vendors when required.
- Assist clients with document preparation, scanning, printing, and finishing services.
- Maintain cash handling processes, balance receipts, and prepare supporting documentation for deposits.
- Participate in annual inventory counts and reconciliation of supplies and materials.
Parking Administration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parking-related inquiries from students, staff, visitors, and external stakeholders.
- Provide information and guidance regarding parking permits, parking regulations, refund policies, and enforcement procedures.
- Issue, distribute, and track visitor parking permits for internal and external clients.
- Complete monthly parking-related chargebacks and maintain accurate records.
- Process, reconcile, and deposit parking permit sales and parking violation payments daily.
- Respond to parking-related complaints and inquiries in a professional, customer-focused manner.
- Assist individuals whose vehicles have been immobilized by explaining procedures and coordinating payment options.
- Prepare pre-collection notices by documenting violation information, creating Ministry of Transportation fee tickets, and generating correspondence to violators.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to parking administration activities.
Facilities Customer Service Support
- Provide backup support for the Facilities Customer Service Associate as required.
- Receive, document, and track lost and found items.
- Support administration of the College locker program.
- Direct facilities-related inquiries to the appropriate department or service area, including maintenance, logistics, custodial services, and other facilities operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must have a one-year certificate or equivalent in Business or a related field. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
- Minimum of one year of experience working in an environment with extensive contact with the public that also required the balancing of multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) as well as proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
- Must have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical skills, interpersonal skills, tact, and judgment.
- Collaborative professional who promotes teamwork and works cohesively within a team-oriented environment.
Additional Assets/Preferred:
- Experience working within a postsecondary environment.
