Private Household Cook

Location: Etobicoke, ON — private luxury residence
Employment Type: Full-time, in-person
Schedule: Minimum 8-hour shifts; flexibility required for occasional 10–12 hour days when the household is entertaining or hosting overnight guests. Schedule will vary week to week based on the family's entertaining calendar.

About the Role

A private Etobicoke residence is seeking a warm, polished, and highly capable Household Cook to work within a team environment for food preparation and guest services for the family and their visitors. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role — the right person is as comfortable plating an elegant charcuterie board as they are greeting guests, staying gracious under a full house, and finding productive ways to spend quiet stretches between service.

The household entertains frequently (typically 2–3 times per week) and expects restaurant-quality presentation with a personal, unfussy touch. This is not a back-of-house kitchen role — it's a service-oriented position for someone who takes real pride in hospitality and serving, not ego.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and beautifully present charcuterie boards, appetizers, and ready-to-serve dishes for family meals and guest entertaining. You will be trained on family recipes and presentation techniques.

- Assist in preparing meals and snacks made-to-order on request, including during extended evenings when guests stay late

- Maintain a rotation of pre-prepared,



high-quality dishes ready to serve on short notice

- Occasionally serve food and beverages directly to family and guests with warmth and professionalism

- Fully clean and reset the kitchen and serving areas after each use

- Help to manage kitchen inventory, restocking, and ingredient/supply ordering

- Use downtime between service periods productively — kitchen organization, inventory management, or other household support tasks as directed

- Maintain the highest standards of discretion, presentation, and guest comfort at all times

Ideal Candidate

- Prior experience in private household service, personal cook work, or hospitality service is preferred

- Genuinely warm, easygoing, and guest-focused — someone who enjoys serving and puts people at ease, not a rigid or hierarchy-driven kitchen personality

- Strong food presentation skills, especially with boards, platters, and elegant small plates

- Reliable, discreet, and skilled in a private home environment

- Physically able to stand/work extended shifts and manage a full-service evening
