In this role, you’ll work to the full scope of your practice within a multidisciplinary team, delivering patient and family-centered care while utilizing evidence-based practices. This is a rural hospital, so your care will be provided to a variety of clients who could be dealing with urgent care needs, pre- and post-surgical recovery, pediatrics, and the facility also has a Stoke Centre. Your strong organizational and critical thinking skills will be used daily as you provide holistic care to the clients. We are looking for someone who is a strong problem solver and decision maker to assess, plan and evaluate care interventions. You believe in engaging patients and families in their care, promoting the clients’ health while delivering safe, quality care and modeling Alberta Health Services values. You will benefit from the cross training to work with all areas of the hospital and a supportive team environment, including but not limited to day surgery, pre- and post-endoscopy, endoscopy suite, and clinics. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

ACLS, PALS, CTAS. 1 year minimum of recent Emergency Nursing experience in the past 3 years.
