POSITION SUMMARY:

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible to coordinate staffing schedules in accordance with CUPE and ONA collective agreement provisions and operational requirements.

The position has a variable work schedule Monday to Friday, including every second weekend. Hours of work will vary between 5:30 am to 1:30 pm and 11:00 am to 7 pm. The incumbent must have the flexibility to work additional hours and every second weekend.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN THIS ROLE?

- Prepares master schedules and working schedules;
- Distributes updated departmental schedules as required;
- Updates schedules to record and monitor changes from master schedule,
- Ensures that staff replacements for illness, vacation, statutory holidays, leave of absence and shift exchanges are conducted in a timely manner and consistent with the terms of the union contract and in accordance with the Home’s procedures;
- Ensures confidentiality of staffing information at all times;
- Maintains orderly storage of scheduling documents, time off requests and shift exchanges;

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE?

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

- Post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or related discipline;
- Minimum of one (1)



years’ experience in staff scheduling within a healthcare environment preferred;
- Demonstrates excellent skills, aptitude and proficiency in a computerized environment, competence with computerized scheduling software packages and Microsoft Office applications including Excel;
- Self-directed, enthusiastic, organized, adaptive to change, and able to set priorities to meet deadlines;.
- Ability to interact with an interdisciplinary team, staff members and employees in a respectful and professional manner;
- Reliable with a good work record
- A satisfactory CPIC with vulnerable sector screening;

Pay: $28.44-$34.57 per hour
