Position Overview

The Fleet Service Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the Apex Security vehicle fleet to ensure all company vehicles are safe, clean, properly equipped, and ready for operational deployment.

This position supports field operations by coordinating vehicle services, maintaining service records, assisting with vehicle staging, and helping ensure fleet readiness across various sites.

As part of the revised position, the Fleet Service Coordinator will also provide operational support to the Field Operations Supervisors when required. For this reason, the successful candidate must hold a valid Alberta Security Services Licence and be able to assist with security-related duties within the scope of their licence, training, and company authorization.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Staging & Deployment

Coordinate and stage vehicles at assigned locations to ensure availability for site and patrol operations.

Fleet Maintenance Coordination

Plan and schedule monthly servicing, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance for all company vehicles.

Service Log Management

Maintain and update vehicle service logs and records in Samsara, ensuring accurate tracking of maintenance history, mileage, inspections, and repairs.

Vendor Coordination

Gather quotes for vehicle repairs, detailing, maintenance, and new equipment, and coordinate with service providers to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.

Fleet Cleanliness & Readiness

Perform or coordinate light cleaning and detailing of vehicles to ensure they meet Apex Security presentation and safety standards.

Field Kit Preparation

Assemble, inspect,



and restock field kits for company vehicles, ensuring staff have access to required equipment, forms, safety supplies, and operational materials.

Reporting

Provide regular updates to the Field Operations Supervisors regarding vehicle condition, maintenance requirements, scheduled servicing, and any vehicles that may be unavailable for operations.

Inventory Support

Assist in monitoring and tracking vehicle-related inventory, including radios, safety equipment, first aid kits, decals, keys, fuel cards, and other fleet supplies.

Field Operations Support

Provide assistance to the Field Operations Supervisors when operationally required. This may include:

- Assisting with patrol or site coverage when required.
- Supporting urgent or emergency staffing needs.
- Assisting with site inspections and operational checks.
- Delivering or retrieving equipment, keys, uniforms, or other operational materials.
- Assisting with incidents, special events, or other field requirements as directed.
- Performing other security duties that fall within the employee's licence, training, and company authorization.

Fleet responsibilities remain the primary focus of the position; however,



flexibility to support field operations is an important requirement of the role.

Qualifications

- Valid Alberta Security Services Licence – Required
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean or acceptable driving record.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or previous fleet/vehicle coordination experience considered an asset.
- Previous security experience considered an asset.
- Proficiency with digital tools such as Samsara or similar fleet-management platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
- Ability to respond professionally to changing operational requirements.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
