Allan Hawkins Electrical Service Inc. is looking for a skilled and motivated 309A Electrician to join our growing team.

We work on a wide variety of commercial, industrial, utility, underground and high-voltage projects—from service calls and troubleshooting to installing duct banks, setting hydro poles, pulling wire, and working on large electrical systems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Work on commercial, industrial and utility projects
- Install duct banks, conduit, underground services, hydro poles and overhead systems
- Pull, terminate and test conductors
- Work with transformers and high-voltage equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints and schematics
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Use mini excavators, skid steers and other equipment when required
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and find practical solutions
- Order parts and materials and track jobs using our computer system
- Prepare ahead for upcoming work and keep projects moving
- Work with customers, contractors, suppliers and other trades
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all applicable safety requirements, codes and regulations

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We want someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team—not just someone looking to punch a clock.

You should have:

- Valid 309A Electrical License
- Experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills




- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong communication skills
- A high regard for safety and quality
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic computer skills
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement

An asset, but not required:

- High-voltage experience
- Transformer installation and testing experience
- Pole line and overhead electrical experience
- Underground utility experience
- Mini excavator or skid steer experience
- DZ or AR driver's licence
