Matcon Environmental Ltd is one of the Lower Mainland's leading and most highly respected construction companies. Due to continued growth within our Environmental Division, we are currently seeking experienced applicants for a Construction Labourer position.

Experience in Environmental Construction is an asset, applicants must also have the ability to operate machinery such as skid steer, 1000lbs Plate Tamper, Packer, etc. This position is for skilled construction labourers who can run equipment, have leadership experience, and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty to preform labourer duties.

Requirements for this position:

- Experience working around large equipment
- Knowledge of hand signals/ spotter experience
- Comfortable backing up haul trucks
- Ability to run hand power tools
- Physical strength and durability for all weather conditions
- Experience in earth works
- Soil compacting, moving rock or gravel
- Deep Excavation experience
- Experience working around contaminated soils
- Remediation / excavation
- The ability to Install manholes, catch basins, lawn basins, and other pre-cast structures
- Complete understanding of typical industry-standard protected working procedures, especially around trenches and heavy equipment
- Understanding of MMCD, supplementary specifications and typical civil testing requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.49-$42.06 per hour
