We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable Supply Staff to join our dynamic team in supporting early childhood education and care programs. As a Supply Staff member, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations by working as a team in a classroom covering adn supporting the classroom of Toddlers. Your energetic approach and flexible availability will help maintain a nurturing, safe, and engaging workplace for children of various ages. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood settings while making a positive impact on young learners’ development.

Duties

- Provide coverage for classrooms and childcare areas during staff absences, ensuring continuous supervision and care for children.
- Assist with daily activities such as play, learning, meal times, and nap routines according to program guidelines.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment that promotes positive behavior and development.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure children's well-being.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement age-appropriate educational activities that focus on child development and social skills.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support special education needs and work with children with disabilities or additional support requirements as directed.

Qualifications

- Prior experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or similar settings is preferred.
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators, ECE Diploma Preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies




- Certification recognized by the Red Cross first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Food handlers' certification is an asset.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through caregiving and educational activities
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs within a classroom setting and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older holding a valid OSSD
- Must be able to commute successfully through London, Ontario

4 supply staff positions (on-call part time)

This role is intended for the long term employment, not a seasonal position.

Pay: $20.00-$25.86 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

- Secondary School (required)

Experience:

- Childcare working: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Standard 1st Aid & CPR (required)
- Criminal reference check with Vulnerable sector (required)
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Registration with college of ECE (preferred)
