About the role:
The Finance Leader serves as a trusted adviser and primary source of financial decision support for business leaders. Working closely with leadership teams and reporting to the Director of Finance, this role provides commercially focused insight, analysis and challenge to help shape and deliver financial strategy. The position actively contributes to leadership discussions, supports informed decision-making, and drives achievement of short and long-term objectives. Working alongside Business Partnering specialists and Centres of Excellence, the role manages complex commercial, reporting, strategy and financial control matters. Success requires strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, influencing skills, collaboration and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
What your days will look like:
- Partner with senior leaders to provide commercial finance insight, analysis and challenge that supports strategic decision-making and business performance.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting and planning activities while identifying opportunities, risks and actions that drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Shape and influence strategic and operational plans through financial modelling, scenario analysis and performance target setting.
- Strengthen financial governance and control, evaluate investment performance,
and support the development of finance strategy and organisational direction.
The role is for you if:
- A relevant finance qualification such as CA, ACA, CIMA or ACCA (or International Equivalent)
- Commercially minded professional with strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial information into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated technical accounting expertise, including knowledge of relevant accounting standards such as IFRS 15.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, results-focused approach.
- Effective communicator and trusted relationship builder, capable of influencing and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Committed to continuous improvement, team development and delivering high-quality outcomes, supported by robust Excel and data analysis capabilities.
